Orenburg city Council recalls that from 1 January 2015 use the new official symbols of the municipal formation "the city of Orenburg: emblem and flag. The new symbolism of the emblem and flag of the city of Orenburg, adopted at the 16th regular session of the Orenburg city Council held on 10 may 2012, made in accordance with the historical coat of arms of Orenburg, granted in the eighteenth century by the Empress Catherine.

Old official symbols should be replaced with new on signs, facades of buildings, in the form of sports teams and individual athletes, representing the city of Orenburg; passenger transport and other property intended for the transport service of the population of the city; in the captions of local television programmes; on the official websites of local governments, municipal enterprises and institutions in the city of Orenburg in the Internet; on stands, banners, signs, signs, marking the boundary of the city at the entrance to the territory of the city of Orenburg and exit, as well as located on the territory of the municipal formation "the city of Orenburg"; on the forms of documents, certificates, business cards of individuals and organizations, established by the decision of the Orenburg city Council from 10.05.2012 No. 407; insignia, municipal awards established by municipal legal acts of the city; on the official periodicals founded by are the local governing bodies of the city; on envelopes, postcards, invitations, calendars, Executive production of local governments and municipal enterprises and institutions of the city; and on the official stamps of local governments and municipal enterprises and institutions in the city of Orenburg. The exception is planned to be done only for municipal awards for the period to 2015. The usual tricolour with the coat of arms in the old version more than ten years was a symbol of Orenburg, was always present at all official ceremonies and events, state and city holidays, escorted sports and creative city delegation in competitions at all levels.
